2023 Driver’s Licences For ALL (English Logo)

In 2019, when I initially joined Unidos MN, one of my earliest tasks was to design a logo for the campaign "Freedom to Drive." Drawing inspiration from the iconic Minnesota welcome sign, I embarked on creating a logo that would honor the community and effectively convey the significance of obtaining driver's licenses for our community. The logo prominently featured a blue swash and parallel blue stripes, reminiscent of a road, representing the journey we were advocating for. This campaign primarily utilized photographic elements to communicate its message.

Fast forward to 2023, the "Driver's Licenses for All" campaign underwent a refined iteration of the previous logo. I incorporated the current Minnesota license branding color scheme to maintain consistency. However, this time around, I adopted an illustrative approach. I personally hand-drew numerous co-workers holding driver's licenses, representing the individuals directly affected by this issue. Through these illustrations, we aimed to tell a powerful story: that we, the affected individuals and our parents, are well-versed in the rules of the road, and we deserve the opportunity to obtain driver's licenses for a better future.
